Lens reference page with Sample Photos of various lenses – prime and zoom lens, converted vintage lens for use with full frame DSLR and Mirrorless cameras. The lens reference here can serve photographers when choosing the right lens. There are many sources where you can obtain lens analytical and technical data, and some of them are influenced, and many are independent. Here, I provide examples and comment only on my enthusiast photographer’s experience with DSLR and Mirrorless cameras, and modern and vintage lenses. Sample images are included for all the lenses in the reference, and they reflect mostly non-technical, but rather aesthetical experiences with photographing the world around me. When looking at the photographs, note the EXIF data, the camera used (as they do express different nuances in addition to the lens), the post-processing software, and workflow used (as well as “in-camera” Picture Styles if applicable). Many of the notes are made directly on the sample photos.

This page is constantly developing and it supports Adobe, Envira Gallery, Topaz Labs, Luminar, DxO, and all other software producers whose products are involved in the creation of these materials. All lens sample photos from the Lens Reference are taken with DSLR or Mirrorless cameras, in combination with modern or vintage lenses. Sample photos are for demonstration purposes only and are copyrighted.
